• We congratulate Nirmalya and Debomita Chatterjee on their wedding. We wish the new couple a happy married life.
• Ahan, Devikalpa and Rajat Chakraborty have relocated to Chicago. We wish them all the best.
• Kalpana and Sanjay Palit have moved to Cape Cod. We wish them all the best.
• We extend a warm welcome to Dibyendu and Reshmita Seal, Amlan Ganguly and Rini, and Jagannath Ghosh to our community and look forward to their participation in our events.
• Ankan (son of Sudeshna and Tuhin Das) had his annaprashan on April 17, 2011.
• Ishan (son of Sathi and Soumya Mitra) had his annaprashan on April 23, 2011.
• Samadrita, Nilanjan, Medha and Nishtha Dasgupta have relocated to Boston, we wish them the very best!
• The BAGR community was saddened at the demise of Abhijit Dasgupta’s mother. Our thoughts are with the Dasgupta family.
• Tuhin, Sudeshna and Ankan Das will be leaving us to enjoy warm and sunny weather in Florida. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
• The BAGR community was saddened at the demise of Arun Chowdry’s mother. Our thoughts are with the Chowdry family.

Bengali Teaching

There is an interest among some of our community to have Bengali classes for children. Please contact us at if you are interested in either teaching or participating in a Bengali teaching class.

Electronic Newsletter

BAGR is going green. To cut cost and contribute in saving environment, this will be the last in print newsletter. Future newsletters will be delivered electronically via e-mail and BAGR website. If you would still like to get a printed hard copy, please inform any executive committee member.

Arup Barat, Sohug Mookerjee and their children Ayan & Saanvi are relocating out of Rochester.
Atanu Lahiri, Sumona Sengupta and their daughter Srija are relocating out of Rochester.
Debjit Das, Reshmi Sen and their son Devam are relocating out of Rochester.
We will miss them and we wish them good luck in their future endeavors.
