Puja Committee Meeting 2nd

A meeting of BAGR Durga Puja Committee has been scheduled on Sunday August 8th at 2.30 pm. The venue is at Pittsford Recreation Center, Room 102, 35 Lincoln Avenue Pittsford, NY 14534. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss planning and organization of first ever Durga Puja in Rochester. All members are invited to attend and express their ideas and views.

Summer Picnic 2010

As per the annual tradition, BAGR will have its summer picnic on Saturday July 17th starting at 12 noon. The picnic venue is Powder Mills Park (West Area) located at 154 Park Road, Pittsford, New York 14534.

The picnic will have a variety of food items, and lots of time for adda and other entertainment, so don't miss it.

Puja Committee Meeting 1st

A meeting of BAGR Durga Puja Committee has been scheduled on Sunday July 18th at 1 pm. The venue is at Pittsford Recreation Center, Room 102, 35 Lincoln Avenue Pittsford, NY 14534. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss planning and organization of first ever Durga Puja in Rochester. All members are invited to attend and express their ideas and views.

Nabo Borsho celebrations to be held on Saturday, April 10 at the ICC starting at 3pm. The current executive committee will be handing over the responsibilities for the next year(1417) to the new committee,headed by Soumyaroop Bhattacharya, at the general body meeting. The meeting will start at 4pm - All members are requested to attend the meeting. This will be followed by our annual noboborsho cultural programme and a delectable dinner - So don't miss it!

Saraswati Puja celebrations to be held on Saturday, Jan 23 at the ICC starting at 12 noon.

Bijoya Sammelan will be held at ICC on Oct 17, Saturday at 5pm. We look forward to all of you attending the event and partake in the joyous celebration

Rochester Bengali Community will celebrate Navaratri on Thursday, 24th September, 2009 at 7:30PM at Hindu Temple Rochester, 120 Pinnacle Road, Pittsford, NY 14534

During the Hindu temple function, many of us give a small donation to the temple (most of us put it in the collection box). We would like to suggest that on Thursday those of us considering donating please give the small amount to our Treasurer Falguni Bagchee, and she will hand over a check for the total amount to the temple from BAGR. This way, the temple will realize that many BAGR members do actively contribute to the temple.

Sanskriti of Buffalo will celebrate Durga Pujo on 25th, 26th, 27th September, 2009 at Hindu Cultural Center, 1595 N French Road, Getzville, NY 14068

Gaudiya Mission USA will celebrate Sri Krishna Janmashtami on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 7:30 PM; Sri Radha Ashtami on Thursady, August 27, 2009 at 7:30 PM and a Feast on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM at their parsonage located at 180 Fulton Avenue, Rochester NY 14613. Rezwana Chowdhury Banna concert will be held on August 22 evening at BAIRD HALL on the University at Buffalo campus. We hope many of us can attend - it promises to be an enjoyable evening.
